Why construction hiring fails on culture, not credentials

Construction résumés look alike. Two project managers with the same years and the
same project values can perform completely differently depending on how a business
runs — self-perform versus subcontract, negotiated versus hard bid, how much autonomy
a superintendent actually gets. That mismatch is what causes an expensive hire to
leave inside a year.

We screen for how someone works, not just what they have built, because in a
market where everyone is chasing the same shortlist, retention is where the money
actually is.

Do you place trades and field labour?

No. We recruit permanent salaried and professional staff. We do not supply
hourly trades or temporary field labour — for that you want a trades staffing firm,
and we will point you to one rather than waste your time.

How long does an AEC search usually take?

It depends entirely on seniority, location and how competitive the package is.
Rather than quote you an average that means nothing for your specific role, we will
tell you at the outset what we think is realistic for that search — and if we think
the role is priced below the market, we will say so before you lose two months.
