Through the classic ‘friend of a friend’ I was put in touch with Bianca at Route Networking Group. We met for coffee and had a nice chat about my prior experience and what I was looking for. Due to my prior work history being very diverse (I helped run a medium-sized business) I knew it would be challenging to find an similar opportunity/role. Bianca checked in occasionally to see how my individual search was going and was friendly and encouraging throughout the entire process. Out of the blue, a couple months later, she called me up and described the perfect role that had come across her desk: General Manager for a growing start-up company just a few miles from where I lived. Fast forward a couple weeks and I’m in my new role, working hard and thankful for Route Networking Group. Finding that perfect career takes patience. Opportunities are all over the place, but perfect opportunities are rare.
